Geelong Amateurs captain Danielle Sgarbi, has capped-off an outstanding team season by securing victory in the 2023 Division 1 Senior Female Football Best and Fairest accolade.

Sgarbi’s triumph maintained an unassailable lead heading into the final round, ultimately fending off the determined efforts of her eventual runner-up, Taiya Morrow of Lara.

Sgarbi’s individual achievements reached a pinnacle that evening, as she also earned her spot in the esteemed 2023 Female Football Coaches Team of the Year.

She has one more chance to shine, as the Ammos take on Grovedale in the Div1 Grand Final this Sunday.

In Division 2, South Barwon midfielder Daisy Wilson demonstrated remarkable prowess to outshine Oliver Ritchie of Anglesea.

Tara Smith of Drysdale Hawks solidified her status as a two-time Senior Female Football medallist in Division 3 with an emphatic victory during the count.

The second-place position was shared between Faith Qoon of North Geelong and Phoebe Cobb of St Albans, while Lara’s Taiya Morrow was awarded Rookie of the Year.
