Commuter pain ahead of Cats game

 

Cats fans will be moved to coaches when they head to Melbourne this weekend (Public Transport Victoria).

 

Cats fans planning to use public transport for travel to Geelong’s must win clash with St Kilda at Dockland’s are being warned they’ll need to add an extra 45-minutes to their journey time.

Level crossing removal works at Deer Park mean V/Line services will be impacted over both days of the weekend.

All Geelong line trains will terminate at Wyndham Vale where coaches will complete the journey to Southern Cross station.

Express coaches replace all Warrnambool line services.

Buses will not be stopping at Footscray Station and will depart Southern Cross Station up to 45-minutes earlier than usual train times.

After Saturday nights game at Docklands one train will be running via the Werribee line to Waurn Ponds. Departing at 10.34pm the service will stop at Little River, Lara, Corio, North Shore, North Geelong, Geelong, South Geelong, Marshall, and is scheduled to arrive at Waurn Ponds by 12.05.

Coaches will otherwise be replace trains towards Geelong.

Passengers travelling to Wyndham Vale or Tarneit between 10.30pm and 11.45pm are advised to catch a Werribee Line Metro train to Werribee, then a shuttle bus to Wyndham Vale or Tarneit.
