Paddy, Sav back for Swans clash

Geelong will welcome back captain Patrick Dangerfield and key defender Esava Ratugolea for Friday night’s crucial clash with Sydney at the SCG.

The Cats (9th, 7-7) have made two changes for the second matchup with the Swans in 2023, with star forward Jeremy Cameron and utility Mark O’Connor (adductor) going out of the team that defeated Melbourne last Thursday.

Jack Bowes, who was the sub in last week’s win over the Demons and had 12 possessions after replacing Cameron in the first quarter, is among the four emergencies.

Brandan Parfitt, Oisin Mulln and Ollie Dempsey are also in contention to be the sub.

Dangerfield suffered a broken rib and partially collapsed lung in the loss to Port Adelaide on June 15, while Ratugolea has been sidelined with a hamstring injury since the Round 11 loss to the GWS Giants.

The Swans (13th, 6-8) have included lively forward Will Hayward as the replacement for the injured Chad Warner (calf).

Ryan Clarke has been dropped back to the emergency list, where he will vy with Tom McCartin, Lachlan McAndrew and Corey Warner to be the sub.

K rock Football will be live from 6pm via FM 95.5 across Geelong and the Surf Coast or krockfootball.live at the SCG and everywhere else.
