GEELONG will field its largest AFL contingent in a VFL match this season in Sunday’s clash with Richmond at GMHBA Stadium.

12 AFL-listed players have been named in the team for the meeting with the Tigers.

It includes omitted AFL trio Luke Dahlhaus, Cooper Stephens and Francis Evans

Shaun Higgins, who will play his first VFL match since 2014, Shannon Neale and Ollie Dempsey, who were the Cats’ travelling emergencies for last week’s trip to Perth, have also been named.

Category B Rookie Paul Tsapatolis will play his first match since Round 4.

Debutant Matty Lloyd is the only VFL-listed inclusion after some solid performances with Geelong league club Newtown & Chilwell.

After returning from extended layoffs in last week’s loss to Werribee, Jack Henry and Max Holmes have been recalled to the AFL team for the clash with Richmond.

Nick Stevens will be missing under health and safety protocols, while Ryan Abbott, Tom Pannucio, Charlie Sprague, Marcus Herbert and Ben Worme have been squeezed out.
