GEELONG has announced it’s full extended VFL list for the upcoming season, as the Cats prepare to enter it’s first campaign under new coach Mark Corrigan.

The list consists of a mix of local footy stars and former AFL players, headlined by ex-Bomber Brayden Ham, who joins the Cats after 45 games at AFL level for Essendon.

Ham was delisted at the end of the 2022 AFL season, and Corrian said he brings a high standard to the side.

“Brayden Ham is a really positive signing and brings AFL experience,” Geelong VFL coach Mark Corrigan said.

“His training standards and obviously his flexibility to play multiple roles (are great assets), but his AFL experience and that consistency of performance are key to what he will bring to the program, and he’s a great person, too.”

Tynan Smith has also crossed to Geelong after two years at the Northern Bullants, while Bailey Van de Heuvel has crossed over from Footscray.

The club’s announced new captains for the 2023 campaign with Angus Byrne to lead the team alongside vice-captains Daniel Capiron and Tom Feely.

The Cats kick off their season at Princes Park against Carlton on Friday night at 7.05pm.
